Starting this week I have been blocking all the domains who are abusing our clock and date service.

It’s very simple. I look at our referrer logs and visit your site.

If you don’t provide a link back to Escati then I block your domain from accessing the code.

Today alone I blocked about 20 domains with a combined total of over 1.5 MILLION DAILY cgi calls/hits to our server.

I don’t know what these forum owners were thinking when they hijacked our code, but I’m positive they would also block anyone who was stealing that much of their forum resources.

Those who use Escati services must follow our TOS. If you mess with the code or don’t provide a link back, your domain will be blocked from accessing the script.

If you have a large forum and want to modify the code, we will unblock your domain for just $50 per 200,000 accesses. Or you can provide a prominent link back to Escati.

Over the last couple of weeks we have moved our clock, guestbook and counter service to a more advanced service.

We have 10’s of 1000’s of free counters and site clocks on the internet and it put a tremendous load on our old server. A server we purchased almost 9 years ago.

We apologize for any downtime you experienced during the changeover. For the last four years we have been encouraging our users to switch over to Bravenet’s counter service. You can preset your counter stats to those of your Escati Counter.

Anyhow, the server move is now complete and all counters and clocks should be working normally.
